CurrentCashier Payment Gateway

CurrentDesk, a trader management platform for Forex brokers, faced growing demand for new payment processor integrations so that our customers could use their preferred provider(s) for handling deposits and withdrawals. With a small engineering team and two generations of software to support, our solution would have to scale in client integrations, processor integrations, and transactional volume.

We successfully built and deployed a scalable, independent payment gateway service that could be integrated with any web-based system in 60 days. This service was integrated into both our legacy and next-gen platforms and allowed for different payment models to be unified into a shared transaction flow, making it easy to integrate new processors on-demand. Brokers could set up and customize their preferred processor(s) to be available to specific customer segments via a modern, easy-to-use administrative interface.

Forex brokerages often partner with two or more payment service providers (PSPs) to process deposits and withdrawals for their trader clientele. Such integrations directly impact brokers' earnings, as each PSP charges different fees based on the geographic region, currency, and volume of transactions. New payment integrations topped the list of customer requests we received in 2018.

To address this growing need, we set out to rapidly build and deploy a flexible payment gateway service that could be extended with new PSP integrations on-demand. This service had to operatively independently of, but be integrated with, both our legacy and next-generation brokerage management platforms.
